This is the first stitch in this year's challenge - fly stitch. I decided to make a reference band sampler of all the stitches and do it on coarse linen so I can refer back to it later if necessary. I used perle cotton but it doesn't show up very well in the photo unfortunately. I may well redo that band at a later date and see if I can find a stronger colour of perle cotton by next week.
Oh Rosemary you have put me to shame. I have been so wrapped up with ATS I quite forgot that it was the first Tuesday.
